The Hidden Master: Tae Baek Ho is a healing drama series co-directed by Kimbo Kim and Min Heo. Selected for KOCCA's Barrier-Free Content Production Support program, the series is produced by 37th Degree and airs on KT Genie TV (Korea) and Vidio (Indonesia).
Starring Jang Sung Bum, Kino (PENTAGON), Im Young Ju, Ri Min, Ha Rin, Cheon Hee Ju, Moon Jae Kyung, Kim Young Hoon, and Kim Hyun Gyu, the 10-episode series follows a misfit task force on a warm and quirky mission to reconnect isolated youth with the world.
Story:
폭력 사건으로 경찰공무원 시험에서 떨어진 백수 청년 태백호. 연달아 취업에 실패하며 현실에 부딪혀 방황하던 그는 우연히 '히키코모리'를 지원하는 은둔고수재단에 입사하게 된다. 백호는 각기 다른 사연을 지닌 은둔자들을 만나면서 그동안 가지고 있던 편견이 조금씩 깨지고, 점차 진짜 '사람의 이야기'에 눈을 뜨기 시작한다.
"누구나 넘어질 수 있다. 누구나 다시 걸을 수 있다. 그저 넘어지고 일어나고 계속 걷는 것, 그것만으로도 우리의 삶은 대단하다. 그리고 그 길 위에… 우리가 바로 곁에 있다."
Tae Baek Ho, a young drifter whose assault record cost him his shot at becoming a police officer. After a string of failed job attempts leaves him at rock bottom, he stumbles into a position at the Hidden Master Foundation — a small organization dedicated to helping hikikomori, people who have completely withdrawn from the outside world. As Baek Ho encounters recluses with vastly different stories, the prejudices he once held begin to crack, and he starts to see what it truly means to hear someone's story.
"Anyone can stumble. Anyone can start walking again. Just falling down and getting back up and keeping going — that alone makes our lives remarkable. And on that road… we'll be right there beside you."
